The fastest decisions of your life were made before you were conscious of making them. The body reads a room, registers a person, calculates a risk, and responds — all before the reasoning mind forms a sentence. Most people in high-stakes environments have learned to ignore this signal. This retreat trains you to use it.
This is not a retreat about feeling. It is a retreat about information — specifically, the information that lives below the threshold of conscious thought and drives a significant proportion of consequential decisions. Alexander Girshon works with people who need more than cognitive frameworks to navigate complexity at the highest levels.
Somatic intelligence is not a soft skill. It is the oldest and most computationally powerful processing system in the human organism. It evolved to read social environments, detect threat, recognise opportunity, and calibrate response — tasks that remain central to operating at the edge of complexity.
The work of this retreat is learning to access that system deliberately: to direct attention into somatic experience, read the information accurately, and integrate it with cognitive processing rather than suppressing it.
«The body is not the obstacle to clear thinking. It is its deepest resource.»
Focus: Learning to read your own system.
Before you can read a room, you need to be able to read yourself. Day One establishes the somatic vocabulary and the attentional practices that make the rest of the work possible.
Focus: Somatic intelligence in relational and environmental contexts.
The body’s environmental reading happens continuously — calibrating social dynamics, sensing alignment or misalignment, registering what is not being said. Day Two trains the conscious use of this capacity.
Focus: Bringing somatic awareness into operational environments.
Presence is not a retreat-only phenomenon. The work of Day Three is bridging — designing the practices and the conditions that allow somatic intelligence to remain accessible in the complexity of real operational life.
Alexander Girshon is a somatic movement educator, certified movement analyst (CMA), and one of Europe’s leading practitioners of Authentic Movement. He has trained in the lineage of Mary Starks Whitehouse and Janet Adler, and holds advanced certifications in Body-Mind Centering and Laban Movement Analysis.
For two decades he has worked at the intersection of somatic practice and organisational development — with leaders, creative teams, and high-performance groups across Russia, Europe, and Israel. His work proceeds from a single conviction: that the body’s intelligence is not supplementary to professional performance, but foundational to it.
A somatic vocabulary and attentional practice for reading your own system accurately in real time.
Relational somatic skills — tracking the field of a room, reading alignment or misalignment before it surfaces verbally.
A personal micro-practice protocol embedded into the actual rhythm of your working day.
A model of embodied presence as a professional tool — with concrete application to leadership, negotiation, and high-stakes decisions.
Founders, investors, and operators who make consequential decisions in complex relational environments — and who have noticed that the quality of their presence, their reading of situations, or their recovery of regulation under pressure is a limiting factor. People who are cognitively sophisticated and sense that the missing layer is not more information.
No movement background required. The practices are designed for people who live primarily in their heads — and who are ready to work with what lives below that.
